I wear the Handmaid’s outfit as a form of protest because it cannot be ignored. It’s a visual alarm—a symbol of what happens when one religion—or one belief system— pushes its way into our laws and lives, forcing one narrow belief system onto everyone else. I’m not wearing a costume. I’m wearing a warning. We are watching history repeat itself—books banned, identities erased, rights chipped away under the false cover of morality. I believe in freedom: freedom of thought, freedom of body, freedom to live without being forced into someone else’s doctrine. But silence never protects the vulnerable. It only empowers those who harm them. That’s why I protest. That’s why I show up. This is my stand—for autonomy, for justice, and for the right to choose our own paths. I’m here to remind people that silence and complacency can lead to real harm.
